I was born in the year of the rooster... My brother on the other hand was born in the year of the dragon... The funny thing is that he dosen't believe they exist, I on the other hand am what some people would call obsessed And to make matters worse, I have all of the characteristics of someone born in the year of the dragon... My brother has none...
Yes, I know this is off topic
Anyway, If anyone has any thaughts... Plz comment.
Well, I try to say if the usual model (skinny girl with, blond, big ass) is changed to something like your dragon thats must be a fetich, becouse why someone would think is that sexy? Due to this usual model we think the fat people can't be sexy, and thats why to the people here (and in rest of the world) don't like it. May be fatness is not healthy but nobody can say that is not sexy.
So I was reading the comments and some were saying this was more realistic of the female figure. ...What? This looks nothing like my figure, nor that of many of my friends. .___. A realistic figure is one of a healthy weight/height ratio, not overweight or kind of disgusting. Understandably, it's decent to see somebody draw something different than a skinny bitch with over exaggerated curves or something related, and it's sort of a comical picture. So the only reason I see to insult it is if one doesn't like over sexualized animal-humanesque things... ..and I don't. But it's a depiction of a fetish. So. Whatever. It was drawn well. I don't like the picture's theme, or the thing drawn, but it does have a good, clean technique~
> You and your friends are not the defining factors for realism (are you confusing "realistic" with "ideal" here? Because if we're talking reality, many more women look like this than who look like athletes/models/celebrities/pinnacles of fitness perfection). > "Overweight" and "kind of disgusting" are completely subjective in this scenario. > No idea what kind of point you're trying to make in your comment, as you said yourself this is obviously a fetish picture.
"Many women look like this" So many women have wings and tails? and strange noses with slits with bulbous bodies that they wouldnt be able to walk? ...yep..cus every women I've seen looks EXACTLY like this.
Yeah.... if you actually read the comment I was replying to, you would see that we were discussing figure and body type, not literal anthropomorphic dragons. But I can totally understand why you'd be confused.
XD right I just thought I'd pick apart that cus well..im an analytical douchebag. But really if any woman had that body she'd hardly be able to walk and her heart would be failing so really I feel more bad for the poor girl rather than turned on by her
Although, I think you greatly exaggerate the strain this girl's weight would put on her body, as to me she doesn't seem obese so much as chubby (if we're going by realistic standards here). But to each their own. I just find myself alarmed at the disgust people seem to have towards a person with this body type - I mean, how does that translate to the real world? I think that because of the internet and all other forms of visual media, we allow ourselves to forget that there's a human being under that gaunt frame or those thick thighs or giant nose, or [insert classically unattractive physical feature here]. That's all I'm saying, I guess. But I digress.
Amazed at the reaction to this piece :S I've seen far more pointless and gratuitous things on here furry or not...
This art is celebratory, both of the female form and of the new year Sadly the minute you hit the front page you are vulnerable to a plathora of high horse types who think their knee jerk reaction is universal.
Hope you don't let them sour your feeling for this it's great really!
*rolls eyes* Stupidity and "White knighting," and "Social justice'ing" aside, (I swear, people on the internet have nothing better to do than find SOMETHING to be offended about in EVERYTHING.) I like this piece. Your shading is crisp and clean, and the colors are well balanced- cool colored background with warm colored subject. The lense flare for the lighting is a bit over the top, but the highlights themselves are a nice touch.
Good work, man <3 Ignore the idiots. If they want to rage about something, maybe they should actually be mad about something that COUNTS, like SOPA or the NDAA, or OWS, not your art. They're just making themselves look like First World Idiots.
wow. You really stirred up everyone, huh? XP sure you ain't trollin' a bit, bro?
Well I like it. I love how the dragon is pleasantly plump in stead of super thin. I also love the shading and high lights. So what if it is sexual and fetishized? If this was an actual person, if would be considered artistic nude and I bet you wouldn't get nearly so much crap for it because the people that hate that kind of stuff stay away from it.
;_; All I did was post something! It's not my fault it got front page! ;_;
Probably, but at this rate, I don't think I want to get on the front page as long as I can. I really don't need people to yell at me just cause it looks ew or boobs are too big for their liking or...other....matter stuff that I can't think of right now. In any case, thanks.
